My name is Dennis Farmer and this is the Miami Valley Music Institute where we are passionate about making music.
This musical, educational endeavor has been born out of need. With all the challenges in the education world today, I’ve seen a growing need for kids to have opportunities for enrichment programs in music. We cater to homeschooling families at a time when they are looking for alternatives to the standard school setting for their children, I believe Miami Valley Music Institute can help give your kids an opportunity to learn and grow as young musicians and people.

I have 26 years experience running instrumental music programs in public, private and, for the last 12 years, home school settings. Over the last 35 years I have taught hundreds of private students of all ages; led solo and ensemble coaching; jazz, rock and classical small ensemble coaching; taught band, orchestral and alternative ensembles; music theory and AP Music Theory courses; music history; music appreciation; composition and arranging and recording.
